Rod & Rifle Resort is located in the South Bay of Nelson Lake. Nestled in a no-wake bay, away from noisy campgrounds and boat traffic. You can enjoy nature, fish off the dock, lay in the grass and read a book, picnic outside your cabin door, sit at the bonfire lakeside, and replenish your soul.

Our cabins and grounds are immaculate. We clean and groundskeep ourselves, so there's no passing blame onto anyone else when things are not perfect. The cabins are lakeside, with the morning sun shining through the large picture windows. They are housekeeping cabins, with complete kitchen amenities, two bedrooms, and bathroom with shower. There is a picnic table outside of every cabin and a couple or Weber grills for your use. With your cabin comes a new 14' aluminum fishing boat. We do not rent motors, but several resorts nearby and rental outfitters in town do. We do have a beautiful pontoon available for rent as well.

There is also a small liquor bar on the premises, mainly for our guests and neighbors. It is not open past 10 p.m. as we like to keep things on the quiet side.

Located only 5 miles from Hayward, we can offer you the tranquility of some quality time spent in the woods, and the convenience of being close to town.
